David Chishimba
Executive Director
David Chishimba is an accomplished human rights and social justice leader with over eight years of experience in building and managing impactful social movements and civil society organizations. A passionate environmentalist, he holds a Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Biology and Management from Copperbelt University.
David is a proven advocate for systemic change. His track record includes spearheading successful national campaigns that have led to tangible reforms, such as advocating for amendments to the National Youth Development Council Act, influencing changes to student loan policies, and leading critical protests against sexual violence—directly petitioning the Ministry of Justice for stronger legislation.
Driven by a commitment to justice and equity, David brings strategic vision, grassroots organizing expertise, and a resilient dedication to leading AASEV in its mission to create a Zambia free from sexual violence.
Mildred Chinyanta
Vice Executive Director - Technical
Mildred Chinyata is a dedicated child rights advocate and social development practitioner, bringing focused expertise to her role as Vice Executive Director at Action Against Sexual Violence. She leads the organization’s technical strategy in preventing sexual abuse and exploitation, strengthening survivor-centered response systems, and driving community awareness to protect and support both girls and boys.
Deeply committed to advocacy and policy engagement, Mildred works tirelessly to create safer environments and uphold the rights and dignity of every child and young person in Zambia.
Reverend Ronald Sikazwe
Vice Executive Director - Management
Rev. Ronald Sikazwe brings over 25 years of ministry and leadership experience to his role at AASEV. An ordained pastor with the United Pentecostal Church of Zambia and a graduate in theological studies, he is a dedicated counselor and a passionate advocate against gender-based violence, sexual violence, and for suicide prevention and mental health awareness. He actively provides support and counseling to individuals in crisis, including those at risk of suicide.
His deep commitment to spiritual guidance and community wellbeing strengthens AASEV’s mission to protect and empower the vulnerable, ensuring our response is both compassionate and grounded in community trust.
Mike Gura
General Secretary
Mike Gura is a dedicated Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Champion and Child Rights Advocate, with deep expertise as a certified Trainer of Trainers in the Children’s Rights and Business Principles. A committed humanitarian, he serves as General Secretary of Action Against Sexual Violence and volunteers across multiple youth-focused NGOs.
With a strong record of successfully implementing community projects and a passion for grassroots advocacy, Mike brings hands-on experience and strategic vision to AASEV’s mission. He believes deeply in the power of sustained effort to drive meaningful change, and works tirelessly to mobilize communities toward a Zambia free from violence.

Blessings Mwansa
Information and Publicity Secretary
Blessing Mwansa is a dynamic media professional specializing in content creation and digital engagement for community development. He leads AASEV’s strategic information dissemination and public engagement through innovative use of social media and creative communication channels.
Currently advancing his expertise through a Diploma in Marketing at Evelyn Hone College, Blessing is passionately committed to leveraging media platforms to amplify awareness, drive advocacy, and foster open dialogue in support of AASEV’s mission to end sexual violence and empower communities.
